What is the difference between Whey Protein Concentrate(WPC) and Whey Protein Isolate(WPI)?

A WPC is 80% protein, with approx. 6% fat. A WPI is 90% protein, with approx.

1% fat. ATW WPC is a whey protein concentrate and it still contains the vital protein bound fats native in non-denatured milk. Is it better to buy a Whey Isolate since it has a higher protein content than the Whey Concentrate?

The filtering process required to make the isolate increases the protein content over whey concentrate, but it also destroys the sub-fractions such as lactoferrins, beta-lactoglobulins, immuno-globulins and other antioxidants and amino acids that can help promote recovery and immune function (these remain intact in a high quality Whey Concentrate such as ATW WPCâ„¢. The filtering process also makes the Whey Isolates considerably more expensive than the Whey Concentrates. Currently even the most expensive dietary supplement whey products available, which are isolates, ion exchange, concentrates and hydrolyzed forms, are denatured by-products of cheese manufacture.
