Try looking into the services of "acupuncture" or see a chiropractor for advice.
Thanks- have done acupuncture before for my ear and was wonderful and so am looking into it. Was told by spine specialist to be very careful with chiropractor and not have any neck adjustment as have such degeneration in my discs in neck (and I am only 46). Ndkrista 10 months ago .
Yes, proceed with caution and please get professional advice. But I'd like to add that since it involves the spine it would be a good idea to strengthen the muscles in that area since they must support the bone structure. So exercises might be helpful too, all in moderation of course.
Thanks! I work in office area with Physical Therapists and they have helped to suggest exercises. Ndkrista 10 months ago .
Pain management MD did the cervical epidural but I have not been to a pain management clinic. That is a good thought. Thanks.
I have now been to total of 14 medical professionals in past 3 1/2 months including the chiropractor, physical therapy etc... only in the past month finally got them to do MRI. Something is seriously wrong with our medical system! Practically had to beg for pain meds.Ridiculous.

I ruptured a disc years ago in my lower spine. It took weeks to heal but I was lucky and went into full time construction within a few months. Now I have some back trouble but find that moving around and ibuprofen help.
Not familiar with neurontin (?) but are you sure you don't have a pinched nerve there? How long have you been in pain? You may have to let your body heal itself although a good chiropractor will tell you if you need pain medication and other treatment.
Thanks- yes actually the pain is from major nerve T-7 being completely compressed by the ruptured disc. I saw just how much it is compressed on the MRI. The neurontin is for nerve pain and I have now been changed to Lyrica since Neurontin did not help.
Changed to Percocet for pain to see if can help more but have to be very very careful since can easily get addicted and so am to use as little as possible. Mainly going to use when going to bed and in am when pain is the worst. Ndkrista 10 months ago .
Chiropractors and acupuncturists are quacks. This is a medical issue, and if the fix is surgery, you need to have it. C6-C7 injuries are really risky, though.
Talk to your physician; you're not going to find any relief on a social networking site, and you don't want to get addicted to pain killers.
Have talked to my physicians. I see spine specialist MD and surgeon. Just switched to Lyrica and Percocet to see if can help with the pain (that is from the large nerve/nerve root being compressed as much as it can possibly be compressed (I saw the MRI).
Mainly just looking here for some ideas as to heat or cold wraps people have found helpful or ideas from people who have had similiar problems. Stopped chiropractor. Have read studies that people have had higher satisfaction rate/pain relief with acupuncture than with the cervical epidural I have had (which has 35-40% success rate and I was not one of the people to find relief).
Really don't want to have surgery as risky since have to go in through front of my neck since cannot access the disc from my back. Surgeon told me my migraines would be increased in frequency and intensity and they are already bad. If I can find way to control the pain and make it tolerable I can deal with the other problem which is weakness in left arm/tricep due to the compression of the nerve. At least no longer have numb fingers/arm.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
