The big reason is because it doesn't work Most of the early adopters of this "solution" to costs are realizing their mistakes and bringing the outsourced projects back home. The major reason is that the knowledge islost to the company, and the OS company can hold the parent company hostage and jack up the cost. I worked with a SW development company once and it was a complete CF to outsource to India to meet a timeline.It's impossible to coordinate your staff when they are 12 hours away.

Not only did we not meet the timeline, and the money was wasted, but the OS company stole the company code.

1 I also refuse to d business with companies who outsource their call centers to countries where they can not speak English without an accent. It's hard enough to understand Englisg speakers over the phone, let alone adding an accent through crappy phone lines.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
