When you reduce everything to good vs evil, black vs white, you don't really have to invest much time in analyzing the true nature of everyone which is most often a variation of gray - we're complex. Satan represents the simplicity of sacrificing rational thought for the comfort of promises of an eternal afterlife.

Complex, in some ways not-so-much. In other ways so complex that it defies logic. At times people will go to great efforts to complexify what we understand or believe in.

Humans need reason for everything that crosses our mind. Reason for life, for our being, and for death. That Reasoning, will eat you alive if your unable to satisfy and conquer it.My point is that for humans in death we are terrified, and feel powerless to avoid it, we would do anything to the extreme to quiet the mind, and have it deferred.

When the bible was written there was only Earth and moon and sun and everything revolved around it. Nothings else existed. Where the hell would yuo have sent him?

Instead of regarding any of them as similar to human beings with human traits of good and evil, why not consider these descriptions as "Principles" or "Laws" governing the universe, various planes above and below, which after all are simply rates of vibration, or frequencies, that transcend the slower vibratory realms such as Earth. Satan represented all that was negative as opposed to what was positive on the Earth plane, and belongs to the realm of "duality", of Time and Space, cause and effect. When one raises one's consciousness one enters into a higher realm and transcends the lower vibratory rates.

This more expanded state is known as the Christ Mind in which one unites with the God principle of the Universe; Jesus said, "I and the Father are one. " He knew the Life in him was the same Life in all for we've emanated from the Source, call it "God the Father" if you wish. Since Satan represented all that was of a lower vibratory nature, that influence was allowed access to the Garden of Eden as the "Intellect" which sees duality, or in other words, functioned by eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which is simply man's perception of the known world, how he thinks it is.

The Garden of Eden also had the Tree of Life in it and we're told we should cling to that and not accept the other tree. Why? Because the Tree of Life is the spiritual nature of man and the inner world itself.

I suppose you can as easily get a hundred more interpretive descriptions of these spiritual topics, so just add this as one more.(^..^) .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
