Since you entered with inspection, you are eligible to adjust status when you become the immediate relative of a US citizen.

The laws have not changed. But they might change in the near future. I think that Congress is purposely stalling the whole immigration thing in a very personal vendetta against Obama's arrogance and his executive orders.

I believe that the more popular sentiment in both chambers is a very limited type of amnesty that most illegals presently in the country will not qualify for. I think that the Congress will do something about immigration, but they won't do it until after Obama is gone. Since you were inspected by an immigration officer when you came into the country you could become legal if you married an American citizen since you would then be eligible to adjust status.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
