What bothers me is the Republican belief that $3 billion for corporate jets is "no big deal" or a "distraction" whereas the $90 million for NPR is "wasteful spending that must be cut immediately." Either both need to be cut immediately or the GOP should admit that the cuts are ideological.
They absolutely identify with the Rich and Powerful. Social Welfare Programs are what they stand against. The idea that those with money should contribute to the welfare of all, is exactly why they call Dems socialists.
They feel that it is each persons own responsibility to sink or swim in this economy. The problem is that MOST of us are sinking.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
