Sent a USPS parcel with just delivery confirmation and NO Insurance. 2 months, never made it. What can I do?

I called help line, talk to the post office, filed a complaint online. But all they say is that I have to wait for it to show up. There is nothing they can do.My parcel has about $1000 worth of stuff but I was stupid enough not to take insurance on it.

You need to kick this upstairs. It's obviously gone. It's not going to magically turn up.

However, your larger problem is that you mailed something and can't prove what was in the box.

I don't wanna go through a silly law suit. Here's the whole story: My grandpa was returning to India and he left two big bags with me that he has to take to India (before going to Texas from where he will fly out) . The bags contained medicines and clothes and his personal items.

I put in a brand new LCD projector that I bought as a gift for his church in one of those and shipped both to Texas where he was gonna take the flight from. One bag made it and the other one didn't. Sadly the missing bag is the one with the LCD projector.

You can't. You took out NO insurance, and you want the Post Office to pay for your mistake? Delivery confirmation is NOT a guarantee that your package will be delivered.

Its there so whoever you sent it to, can't say it never arrived, to get the business or whoever to send a free replacement.

Gotcha! I guess you are right! My brilliant idea to save a few bucks on insurance has costed more than I saved.

There is not much anyone can do for you. Without insurance all the post office will do is "look" for it. I'm sure you realize by now--never send valuables without insurance.It doesn't happen too often, but packages do disappear.

Oh, sorry. Thought I was reading UPS. Sadly, if you took no insurance or did not have any sort of regristration, then you cannot file a claim.

You have no proof you ever mailed anything.

I have tracking i.e. Delivery confirmation and I can find the receipt that the USPS gave me when I sent it. So, I have proof that I sent it.

I'm sorry, but you are not going to be compensated. Who would you file a claim with? The USPS is a government agency.

If they say there is nothing you can do, then there is nothing you can do.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
