Sure you can try acting - it could be a lot of fun for you. Look for some beginning acting classes. Audition for school plays and community theater productions.
Join drama club and try competing in forensic speech/drama contests. More professional acting is a business. It involves contracts, unions, legal restrictions and requirements, marketing (like head shots, resumes, and show reels), and networking.
Actors are not just discovered. It's a huge investment of time, effort and money for you and your family so of course you want to try the classes and local auditions first. Then you can see if you really enjoy the work of acting and if you're any good at it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
