Should I partition C: drive before I install Linux or let Ubuntu do it?

I want to Duel Boot Windows XP with Ubuntu Linux. I have a program to partition my C: drive. (EAEUS Partition Master Home edition, which is a free partition program by the way) I've been reading up and from I've read about Ubuntu it will partition your drive for you when installing.

Which is better? Partitioning the drive before the install? Or is it better to let Ubuntu partition my C: drive for me?

I have a HP laptop if that changes anything. Very roomy laptop with Centrino Intel in it. Not the newest model but runs nicer than my desktop.

The Best Idea is to create a partition with Windows XP CD for windows for C drive. But make sure you have some unpartitioned space for ubuntu. Boot from the Ubuntu CD and choose the option which says unused space/ unpartitioned space.

This will create a dual boot without loosing the data on your windows partition. For more details keep watching my blog http://ubuntucdblog.blogspot. In/ in.
