Neither of the people in this case are really off the hook in my mind, anyway: - The paparazzo was probably being intrusive. I've always had a problem with car photos, since cars are supposed to be semi-private places. Being a celebrity changes this.However.... - Being intrusive doesn't justify being hit by a car.
From what I've read, the driver knew exactly what he was doing. It wasn't all that accidental. So he's clearly at fault here.So yes, I think he should be charged with criminal assault with a deadly weapon.
All the facts of the case fit. As rude as the photographer might have been, he wasn't causing physical harm.
It's so hard for us to say, not having been there, but I have a big problem with people trying to block a car in and then being shocked they got it. Paparazzi know they aren't welcome, and when they crowd around a car, they should know they're risking some fingers and toes. The driver probably could have honked a few times and started rolling forward slowly, but pedestrians should not be on a street, in the way of a vehicle.
Ironically, this probably will help make the photographer's career. He gets to be in the story now.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
