Hey So I don't have TOO information for you, I'm sorry. (But thanks for asking this question because I was actually thinking about auditioning for SM, and I also wanted to ask but for some reason my account says I am too young.) Well, I'll try to answer as many questions as I can. First, I wouldn't go for SM.
(This is what I have been debating with myself.) Don't think I say this because of the rumors and scandal, but they lure you in with all expenses living in Korea. I told my mum because I thought it sounded like a pretty good deal, but she brought up a good point which is this: You will be trapped overseas, locked in a contract, in a foreign country, having to learn foreign language. I don't know about you, but it is hard enough for me to be away from my mum who I love a lot, I went to Japanese camp for TWO WEEKS and had trouble.
Now see yourself in Korea, for YEARS, having to endure in a completely different environment than the one you know. You know about Han Geng right? It may have been all expenses paid for him from China to Korea, but he was NOT allowed to bring his family, so he didn't see them very often.
I am from the USA, so that would be TORTUROUS for me. The will probably pay for your flight to Korea, they will educate you, they will teach you Korean. I heard there are 30-35 trainees -a lot just tend to drop out or don't come back, I know with Han Geng, after he initially joined an auditioned, he went back to China with other Chinese SM trainees, and something mysterious happened with their contract, and they just didn't return.
The Korean music scene is awesome, and it is definitely something I would personally like to pursue. But it is a very risky move. My answer is harsh, I know, but I hope it will help you think about the reality of being in SM as a trainee.
PS: I'm not very familiar with Yahoo & Yahoo answers, but I would love to talk to someone about this sort of topic, so feel free to contact me. :) I hope I got my point across, and good luck with whatever you choose to do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
