Right now none other than paid advertising for my sites outside hubpages. My blog has been being used to promote other hubbers work. I am not unhappy with my paid advertising my sites do not rank high on any search engine but I am getting between 60 and 70 hits a day.
I would rather have a few who buy than thousands who don't. I do plan on using my blog to advertise but not for about another month. The best way to explain is this site is in prelaunch.
I also use a viral marketing site but again only for hub pages.
Networking over Facebook is a great way to keep customers informed of services and to keep in contact with our regular clients. Good old fashioned pounding of the pavement still works too, especially when a chunk of the business I help my brother with is done through word of mouth and scouting locations. (It's hard to scout locations for bands to play at when the website doesn't get updated for example.).
I use facebook , stumble upon & for the travel club I promote I use classified ads , notice boards , kooday etchannaholson-- we got married on a monday on a beach! Had someone take photos with our camera! Did a hub about it , saved a fortune!
I use Modern Advertising Methods like facebook, hub pages, and forums. I'm not much of a business owner though. As for making money online, I don't even pull my own weight with just that.
I thought that I would use AT&T Advetising Solutions. Bad idea! I didn't get any leads at all, and it was almost impossible to cancel.
I have to agree with everyone here. Facebook and Twitter seem to be the most effective anymore. We have gone through newspaper ads, ads in our hometown's university magazine and sporting events programs, and radio.
The social networking route seems to work best. But I also publish a bi-weekly blog through Blogspot on my companies website that I link to Facebook and actually gets a lot of people on my site. A lot of times, I can use the topics I use on HubPages for that blog so I am not writing something new 24-7!
I also like to do competitions on Facebook. I challenge people to be the first one to answer a question related to my blog or an article I publish in the paper and they will win a prize. This gets people reading and on my site, then I can give them something with my company logo, too!
Good luck!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
