Yes, I would and I do. I have a small business that I run with my husband, we are both very artistic. Every bit of advertising that you are able to do can only help.
Driving around with the magnetic advertising on our car is helpful, especially if it is catchy advertising. We have noticed people looking at or commenting on our business as a result of the seeing the advertisement on our car. The only other form of advertising that we do is to place our website address anywhere and everywhere that we can.
Word of mouth and reputation are also very good. We have gone the paid advertising route on a few occasions but it has done little to no good so we don't do that anymore.
I have tried numerous small work at home businesses over the last 10 years that I have been disabled and I have been known to put a bumper sticker on my car with my website info on it. I also looked into those signs that are magnetized and can be put on your vehicle but ended up not doing it. I have tried numerous ways to advertise on the internet, none that really brought in any kind of business.
Small business which usually means low advertising budget is very hard to conquer. I have listed a couple of sites below that you might find interesting. :-).
Yes and I do. Other forms are business cards left in other businesses, restaurants, etc. Also have pens printed up and key chains to give away. A web site that can be set up for a couple of dollars amonth.
If you can afford it the yellow pages and industry newsletters that could use your service. Depending on the business flyers, also mass mailings are quite effective. Hope this helps.
I wouldn't use my personal car to advertise my business. I find things like this tacky most of the time, and I probably wouldn't consider buying from a company that did this. So I wouldn't emulate it for myself, even though everyone doesn't share that view.
Some things I'd do: - Advertise in the local paper. They need the ad money just as much as I need the business, what with competition from Craigslist cutting into classified sales. - Word of mouth.
I've got a lot of people who might need my services. - Design business cards and the like to give out. While I'm not the best artist, I'd like to think I know what looks professional as far as design, even if I'm not the best at reproducing complicated things.
This could go along with word of mouth.
I would use my car if it were the sort of business that would benefit from it. However, I don't think mine would. The problem is that people seeing the advert on the car wouldn't really be able to write anything down and would most likely forget it by the time they got home.
Heck they would probably forget it by the next light; I know I do when I see that stuff. The method of advertising entirely depends on who your audience is going to be. Knowing your audience is part of your initial business plan when setting up shop (real or virtual), or at least it should be.
If you don't know who your audience is, then you won't know where to advertise to them. If you want to make the most effective use of your advertising dollar, then you have to know what advertising will get the most bang for the buck. Once I get my website business up and running, I know my audience will be teachers.
While I could maybe reach a few teachers by putting my info on my car, I would be better off spending that money putting ads in magazines that teachers read and stuff like that. So my advice is a thorough analysis of your intended audience and go from there.
My husband has his own remodeling business and we use his truck to advertise. We have magnetic signs we stick on it. We also have an advertisment that runs in a couple of local newspapers.
Then he has business cards that he leaves in various places and gives them out. S business is doing very well so it musy be working.
I wouldn't blatantly use my car to advertise, but sometimes it's nice to have some small, tasteful lettering for those that are looking for it. I once had a friend with a very expensive AMG Mercedes who had his website url in small letters along the bottom of his back windows. I think it's especially nice on expensive cars; I've seen a few Ferraris done up the same way.
For a regular vehicle, I may not bother.
I live in new jersey and was just told by my insurance agent that I can not keep my business name on my personal auto. That I must get a commercial registration...any thoughts on this? Dmv told me even those magnetic signs are not supposed to be on your car if it in not registered commercial.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
