I think they should be more loose, at least where I am. My state's gun laws are ridiculously strict. For example, my husband has a gun in our house.
It's kept unloaded and stored in a gun safe. Because I'm not the registered owner of the gun, I'm not legally allowed access to it (I do however know where there is a hidden key). If someone were to break into my home and try to rape or kill me and I used my husband's gun to defend myself, I would be in trouble.
ALSO: The problem with gun violence isn't the responsible registered gun owners. It's the people who obtain them illegally, which will happen no matter what the law is.
Not necessarily stricter, but certainly more carefully crafted regulations are not at all unreasonable. And with a background in public health and a family of cops, I can tell you that the idea that states with loose gun laws have less crime is a myth.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
