The many interpretations of the Story Adam and Eve?

I like it. I've thought like that plenty of times. Considering heaven & hell as a state of mind rather than actual places.

With a slight twist it can work for them as actual places too. The pursuit of worldly knowledge & wisdom and material gains being the path to hell. The other being the path to heaven.

Seeking the kingdom of God with the innocence of a child. This would obviously fit better with the rest of the bible. One of my favorite songs touches on this... How I long to regress To the days before I took upon myself The obsessions of this world A day of innocence equating beauty For tomorrow may fall And today is already gone I've grown tired of chasing Convinced I was in need And now the years I've spent Only a slave to this Tomorrow may fall And today is already gone I will no longer adore These things that will never satisfy me I have seen my world change And then go back to where it came In this vicious circle.
