The movie "Drumline" tells of a "natural" drummer who can't read music. Anymore "no fundamentals" movies out there? My son thinks his "skills" are all he needs and studying is for "average" people.
Are there any other movies that drive home the point that you must work at your skill, especially by studying, to become special? Asked by Kamisedo 60 months ago Similar questions: movie Drumline tells natural drummer read music Anymore fundamentals movies Entertainment > Music.

Coach Carter (2005) Coach Carter immediately springs to mind. Plot Summary for Coach Carter (2005) In 1999, Ken Carter, a successful sporting goods store owner, accepts the job of basketball coach for his old high school in a poor area of Richmond, CA, where he was a champion athlete. As much dismayed by the poor attitudes of his players as well as their dismal play performance, Carter sets about to change both.
He immediately imposes a strict regime typified in written contracts that include stipulations for respectful behavior, a dress code and good grades as requisites to being allowed to participate. The initial resistance from the boys is soon dispelled as the team under Carter's tutelage becomes a undefeated competitor in the games. However, when the overconfident team's behavior begins to stray and Carter learns that too many players are doing poorly in class, he takes immediate action. To the outrage of the team, the school and the community, Carter cancels all team activities and locks the court until the team shows acceptable academic improvement.
In the ensuing debate, Carter fights to keep his methods, determined to show the boys that they need to rely on more than sports for their futures and eventually finds he has affected them more profoundly than he ever expected. Sources: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393162/ .
1 Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen Coach Carter and I agree it talks about general fundamentals for the Team. I'm looking for something of a more specific nature that involves a stand-out who feels he's above doing the grunt work of improving because his "mad-skills" are good enough.
But I'll be sure to bring Coach Carter home again, it never hurts to reinforce the importance of those general life-skills. Thanks! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
