This is my first Yule. I am a solitairy practioner and need direction on how to honor the season. I?

In 2009, Yule is observed overnight, starting at sundown on Dec 20th into the morning of the 21st. How or when you burned the candles would depend on what spiritual tradition you honor. hubpages.com/hub/Yule.

I would think Christmas is a time of appreciating each other and the act of giving whether through volunteering, donations and giving gifts is symbolic of these emotions and celebration of the year. I can not say on the religious aspect as my cultural spirituality is separate and different from church practices but the central point is the same, believing in a power greater than ourselves. I would suggest that you go with what you feel is right within your own heart.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
