To get a smaller Federal Government - what would 'tea party' Republicans cut?

First we have to have a hiring freeze for the Federal Government. Put all government employees into the social security program, and convert their pensions to a 401 Program but let the government contributes up to 10% Eliminate the Department of Energy, The Department of Education, The Department of Labor, and the Department of Transportation. Eliminate all farm aide, and then cut the Department of Agriculture by 50%.

Privatize the Postal Service and the Space Program. Bring all military units serving outside of the United States back to this country and station them on our borders (especially the Mexican border). Keep the prison in Cuba, but staff it up so ALL terrorist can be housed there.

Cancel our membership in the UN and the World Bank Reduce Corporate taxes to 10%, eliminate the capital gains & dividend taxes and institute a flat 10% on everyone making over $30,000 (no exemptions nor deductions). Once the taxes are in place, layoff 75% of Internal Revenue Service employees. This is good for a start, later we'll address immigration, tort reform and the environmental groups.

Personally, I would start with a hiring freeze for all government jobs and slowly eliminate programs as they are unstaffed. I would also institute a cap on all government salaries at a set multiplier of the average US wage.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
