Trying to find a book I read years ago. Bottomless pits opening up in central park, maui, and across the world, search for the parts of a sword, the light is an allied force, not a friend. Things coming from the pits, days getting shorter...that's about all I got.

I read years ago Years ago I checked out a book from my middle school library. I could have sworn it was called "The Game" but I can't seem to find it online anywhere. It starts out with a group of kids about to graduate from school and be told what job they will have or if they will be unemplyed.

Some get jobs but the rest don't and have to live off welfare and what they find on the streets. They get an invitation to come play a game. They go somewhere and lay down and are transported to this world the they have to explore.

When they get into serious trouble they get transported back. Those that do have jobs start losing them to robots, and join their friends. Once they have enough people skilled in different areas to survive in this game or world, they don't get transported back at all and are left to start society over in this brand new world.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
