Run this Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor: http://windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvi... EDIT: I looked up for the specs of your NC-10 netbook and found out that it has an Intel Atom N270 @ 1.66GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM and Intel 945GSE chipset. I'm 100% sure it can run Windows 7 as I have a netbook with the same specs, just a different brand and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on it. The necessary drivers are available from the manufacturer's website if Windows 7 can't find them on its own.
To help you save at least $80, as your computer has a valid Windows XP, just buy the upgrade version of Windows 7: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/144... By the way, it's not true that you need a 160GB hard drive. Even Windows 7 Ultimate can be installed on a 20GB hard drive excluding applications. Throw in your basic applications and you'll be looking at about 25GB of space required.
Set aside a 30GB partition for drive C and you'll be absolutely good. Leave the rest for drive D (a separate partition) where you should put your data. They'll be safe there when you need to reformat drive C if the OS crashes.
In fact, while you still have a running XP OS, if you still don't have a second partition where you can move your data to, you can create one in advance using a free partitioning software called Easeus Partition Master (please google for the link). This way, you don't need to totally remove your data from the computer. Just don't make a mistake in formatting that partition when you install Windows 7. Make sure you install the OS in drive C.
And as a final note, as you don't have a CD/DVD drive, you may create a USB flash drive containing the Windows 7 installer using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool from Microsoft or WinToFlash: http://download.cnet.com/Windows-7-USB-D... http://wintoflash.com/home/en You must have or create an ISO of the original DVD installer to begin with, of course. Sorry for the long additional info. I got carried away.
:) I hope it helped a lot.
Yes you can install win 7 on your Samsung NC-10 and you can download driver of your laptop first from http://www.sammynetbook.com/news/official-samsung-nc10-windows-7-drivers-available-from-samsung/ Best of luck If this help you don't forget to mark as answer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
