Many of the prophets companions were poets.. BUT there are certain limitations . There is even a sura in the quran called Surat Alshu'ara 26:224. And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 26:225.

Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley? - 26:226. And that they say what they practise not?

- 26:227. Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
