Probably changing my world view It was a five year struggle against that change. I was taught evolution in school and believed in it. I taught it when I began teaching.

A few years into teaching a student asked me a question I was not sure about and I told him I would look it up. Believe it or not, I do not remember that question to this day. I do remember, however, finding some contradictory stuff about it and then keeping going, looking for an answer.

And that led to more reading and more research. Five years of it. And finally, I had a choice.

I could either continue on the path I had been taught or go where the data led. I chose the latter because I value the truth. It is for that reason I am a young creation creationist.It is a massively ridiculed and unpopular position, but if I am going to be honest about the data, I have no other choice.

To make that choice, though, and know that I would be ridiculed forever after, was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. What helped me? My father's 'indoctrination' when I was growing up in terms of the importance of going for the truth and always having a reason for what you believe.

Advice to others: always go for the truth and always have a reason for what you believe.

One of the hardest things for me was to tell my father years ago that I did not want to remain part of the family business but needed to leave and strike out on my own path. There was animosity between us as a result but my younger brother came along and took my place eventually and the rift was eventually healed and I was able to regain my father's respect prior to his death in 2000. It was a long, hard road at times but I needed that challenge to succeed or fail on my own terms.

I'm tired and beat down at times for my choices but really have no regrets, other than my own hardheadedness at times lol! .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
