Wedding fever! Did your wedding have a theme? Was it formal, or more "homey"? Did you turn into a bridezilla?

Yes, it was family. We both came out of marriages where our ex's didn't like our families. So, we had a wedding on top of a mountain in California overlooking the Central Valley.

It was for a FAMILY gathering. We had everyone wear comfortable clothes, as we knew the ceremony itself was only a few minutes long. My dad had just been out for a visit from Texas a couple of weeks before and turned right around and came back out to give me away.

My mother came up and help me cook the food for the 50 or so that would be there. Just before the minister pronounced us man and wife, the big lumbering dog of our hostess came and sat between us! She told me later, congratulations, you just married my dog!

Anyway, we had a wonderful time just being together with our families. It was wonderful not having to worry what might or might not be said. We have all talked about that day many times and how everyone enjoyed themselves so much.

That was over 20 years ago. Just enjoy your day and nothing will be able to spoil it. Even if something does go wrong, trust me you will laugh about it later!

Thankyou Sparkie, that all sounds lovely, and I like you marrying your friend's dog! This is my third marriage, but his first. I've never felt so much like a bride before, its going to be a lovely relaxed and happy day with friends and family around us - what more could you want!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
