There are a lot of gadgets available for left-handed people (well everyone, but it is helpful for lefties) that weren't in existence decades ago. Considering I have little dexterity in my right hand that is great. There is no way I could open a can with a regular can opener, for example.
Email is wonderful and awful at the same time. I can follow the news. It comes to me everyday like the newspaper.
Connecting with friends and family is wonderful, but if I don't read it several times a day my life is highjacked.
My worst habit has now become emailing stuff to myself. Almost daily now, I send email attachments from the downstairs pc to my upstairs office quad core. Why.? It just seems easier to carry on working while they upload and I do not have to start formatting dvd discs.
I dread to think I am sending them half the way around the world to end up two floors up. Flash drives are a lot easier to use but where ever I look it appears to have a cable hanging out of it.My next post will relate to the use of using dvd/cd discs as a Frisbee. Lol.
I wrote my hub on the Nintendo Wii and the Just Dance games. While my hub isn't really on the type of technology most have written about, this gaming device has simplified my life.
I can exercise and play with my kids at the same time all while teaching them the value of healthy competition and that you don't have to win every time but just have fun while you're competing.
Technology helps me in numerous ways on a daily basis. As I am getting ready to go to work I check the "google maps" app on my phone and look at the traffic layer so I can plan my route to work based upon traffic. I drive into work and say if my check engine light were to come on, I'd go to autozone and ask them to run the code on my car and plug my car in to their computer to find out what is wrong with it.
On the weekends when I travel to go into NYC I check the train schedules via my cell phone as I'm walking to the train station to make sure I'm catching the right one. As I'm skateboarding through NYC I use my skateboarding app to figure out how many miles I have skated along with top speed, top elevation, etc. There are just so many different things I use my phone for and that's just one piece of technology.
Sorry, I can't agree with that statement. Technology makes life simple.
If you want my choice of software, I pick MS office. MS Office makes life a lot simpler.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
