I've never trusted the people of continental Europe - not even the Dutch. I do not believe that any of these continental countries, with the exception of Greece, really understands the true meaning of democracy. They have collectively created an unelected system of control called the European Parliament, which is dominated by unelected officials who do what they like without ever asking the people.
