You don't necessarily have to care about them, but The only current use would be to purchase superpowers to use here on Askville. There’s the Voting Authority Superpower, that let’s you vote on answers to questions that you neither asked nor answered. You do not earn any coins for these votes, ever.

There’s the Coin Multiplier Superpower. This allows you to multiply the amount of coins that you earn based on your level in a certain topic. There’s an L1 and L2 coin multiplier.

Nothing much, "yet" Quest coins are the reward system for using Askville. They're pretty roughly equivalent to earning points in the arcade games. They're next-to-worthless, other than to show off just how "good" you are at using Askville.

;-) There is currently exactly one use of Coins. You can use them to purchase "superpowers". One of the superpowers, Coin Multiplier, is double-plus redundant, as the only point of that is to, you guessed it, get more coins.

The second one introduced is the "Voting Authority" superpower. This allows you to cast a vote on questions asked even if you didn't answer them. And now just released are two new superpowers that allow you to edit the topic list and discussion forums for certain topics.In theory, sometime this year, Askville will be opening a new site, "questville.

Com", at which we'll be able to spend our coins in some way. They've been completely mum as to what we might be able to spend them on at this hypothetical site, and the hold page that's there now has said "coming in 2007" since the beginning of the year. I for one don't believe we're ever actually going to see it.

Why would you care about collecting them? I don't think you should. I don't.

At this point They're just a way to encourage you to return to the site. The thinking is that they will serve as an intangible reward to let you know how you're doing. For the competitive people, this serves as a benchmark of their abilities - the goal would be to be on the weekly or all-time coin list.

For others, it serves as a validation that you're providing something to the site - either question to be answered or an answer to an open question. In either case, it generates traffic for Askville. Should you care about them?

If you came here just looking for an answer to a specific question - either one you asked or one that was asked before that you needed to know the answer to, then you don't need to care about them. If you just like to pose questions - either for personal knowledge, a straw poll of opinions, a product recommendation, or a "fun" question, then you don't need to care for them. Purely asking questions will not get you a lot of coins, and there aren't any superpowers at this time that will let you earn extra coins for asking questions.

If you like to answer questions, then it's a toss up as to if you should care about them. If you just want to answer questions because you are interested in the topics, then the quest coins aren't going to do anything unless you need the validation of a job/answer well done. If your goal is to answer questions and be a known face around here, then you should care about them because they are the way that you will get to be known.

Getting a lot of quest coins means that you're answering a lot of questions. As the coins roll in, you'll appear under the recent promotions sections for topics when you hit level 1, 2, 3, and so on. Answering a lot of questions will also make your name stand out as people recognize you from the questions they are answering or reading.

Inevitably, and assuming you're not just answering with half-baked answers, the coins will come in. If you want to speed up your coin collection ability, you can use the coins you earn to buy the coin multiplier super power. If you are answering a lot of questions each week, you can earn back the 200 coins for Level 1 and the 2000 coins for level 2 fairly quickly.It certainly isn't required though, as there are people who just simply answer a ton of questions and never buy superpowers.

They get their coins through sheer volume. As far as what you can do with them - You can use them to buy superpowers in the superpower shop You can get your face out there as mentioned above - by being on the weekly/all-time lists.At some point, Questville will be opened. The theory is that you can use your quest coins there in a game setting to get additional "things".

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
