Wash hands or use hand sanitizer and make good and proper hygiene a habit. During epidemics avoid being in a large crown and public transportation. You can also use facial masks to prevent contamination in public places.4.

One of the best ways to help prevent a cold is hand washing, and keeping your hands away from your face. Germs are so often spread when people who have rubbed their eyes, nose, or mouth and then touch the door handle, the phone or other objects that you then touch. I kept a bottle of hand sanitizer on my desk at work and promptly cleaned my phone, computer keyboard and other items on my desk after others came by and touched (or used) them.(Purell is a really good one; 65% alcohol) Sounds a bit OCD I know but your keyboard, phone and door handles are 3 of the most often touched/used places.
