Heh, you pretty much answered your own question. Putting "Good" in quotes or "Good Times" in quotes does quite a good job of expressing sarcasm and disdain. Sometimes the simple ones are the best.My favorite synonym, though, for "good times" would probably be "Halcyon Days".
They refer to times of peace, serenity, order, happiness, etc. All the good stuff. The fact that Halcyon Days seem to be designated retroactively is itself kind of funny. And the fact that an unhappy relationship is almost the exact opposite of "Halcyon Days" makes the term a very ironic one to use.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
