0.Go to Puerto Rico...it's a US Territory so you don't need a passport. It's super warm and wonderful this time of the year and you avoid Disney. Trust me, Disney in Orlando at Xmas is NOT the place to go unless you love standing in long lines.
This year I think almost any place would be great because everything is so cheap. My favorite places to have spent Christmas include Kauai, Greece, Southern Italy and yes, even Paris. The French Riviera is nice but crowded and still not such a bargain.
According to the travel site Orbitz. Com, the top 10 Christmas Travel|Christmas travel destinations are: 1. Las Vegas, NV 2.
Orlando, FL 3. New York, NY 4. Honolulu, HI 5.
Chicago, IL 6. San Francisco, CA 7. San Diego, CA 8.
Anaheim, CA 9. Lahaina, HI 10. Miami, FL Although, according to AAA, fewer people will be traveling this holiday season (first decline in Christmas season travel in six years).
Most of these listed are indeed warm places (though I suppose after Las Vegas had snow that one is debatable).
The Bahamas, check out The Atlantis atlantis.com If you like to stay in the US, then definitely Orlando, and check out Disney World, and the Walt Disney World Resort disneyworld.com.
Warm places. Dominican Republic near the capital and also in Punta Cana always treat you good.
I always highly recommend Hawaii, or anywhere with warm weather... few things about hawaii you should know before going... if your looking for the local life/party... visit oahu. If your jus looking for time to spend with the wife and kids, I recommend maui or kauai they are secluded and by far beautiful. I live in las vegas now and i'd still recommend it... if your willing to donate(gamble) your money.
The weather here can be up and down at times... but usually winter time is nice and cool. Cold, but cool. The lights, the glamorous shows, and the outdoor activitys here all make it worth while.
I went to Mexico once during this season and would love to go back! My favorite parts of this destination are these: 1) Great time to go and great weather - warm, but you avoid the biggest crowds and also the hot summer weather. 2) Gorgeous beaches in Acapulco (where you can see cliff divers!) or Cancun.
3) In Mexico City and elsewhere there are big public carnivals for the entire 12 days after Christmas (they celebrate up to Epiphany). In Mexico City, it was very kid-friendly, and kids lined up to visit the Three Kings the way kids here line up for Santa. There were also cotton candy machines that sent wisps of spun sugar into the air (a lot of kids jumped to grab them out of the air instead of buying a whole package ).
Kids also threw confetti filled eggs/silly string at each other, and let a few tourists in on the fun too. If family-friendly isn't your cup of tea, there's plenty of nightlife in tourist-heavy areas.(Note: I haven't been there in a while. Check travel warnings for safety of tourists, especially if you are travelling alone or are going to places off the beaten track).
Ski and snowboarding resorts are the common destination of families in Christmas. During this season, resorts prepare day long fun activities for the entire family aside from skiing and snowboarding. skiorganizers.com.
New York City: See the holiday lights. The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
Broadway Shows. The NY Knicks, Rangers, Jets, Giants. Visit the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, All the museums.
Get around town on the Subway, by taxi, or private car. It's great!
Home sweet Home. Thats the best and most travelled to place during Christmas.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
