What are some scientific experiment you can do with mice for science fair project?

I am trying to think of some experiments that would be fun or interesting to do with mice for my science fair project. Anyone has a suggestion for a scientific experiment that I can do with mice? I have some ideas but.. I can't get the equipments for my experiment needs or the equipments are just too expensive for me to afford.

Mice and food You could do something with a maze. You could figure out the effect of hunger on mice and how quickly they go through the maze and what food they go for. Maybe the maze has a couple different kinds of food in it.

Food that mice really like they might go after first if they're not that hungry, but if they're very hungry they might go after whatever is closest to them at the time. Don't starve the poor things to death, just try this a bit after you'd normally feed them. Maybe an hour or two.

Or you could try the effect of smell on mice. Maybe they'll go after the food that smells best first. Or maybe the mouse likes everything and will eat everything as it gets to it.

Animals usually need motivation to do something and food is a good motivator. Just make sure you have at least two different mice for the experiment.

How fast learn a maze, see what they do and don't like to eat, see how fast they make a bed, chew up a tube,... see how high they jump, see how fast they are on the wheel, see what time of day they do things, see if they like music, and more.

1 Before you get too involved with this project, double check with your teacher about using mice. I know several school districts in our area have banned the use of alive animals in science fair projects. I would hate for anyone to spend time on a project only to have it rejected outright because the student used something that was banned from the fair.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
