What are the chances of South Africa on getting through to the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2010?

World Cup hosts have all performed very well throughout the years. In fact, the worst performance of hosts were in 1982 by Spain and 1994 by the USA when they went out in Round 2. South Africa has a good team with some very good players and will perform at 200% in front of its home crowd.

This is the first time that the world cup will be held in Africa and all the African countries will want to prove their worth on home soil. France will be the favorites to go through in Group A with South Africa and Mexico just behind. France is a very good team but their performance in the world cup cannot be determined beforehand.

They had a very strong team in 2002 and performed dismally losing in the first round itself. Their team in 2006 was much weaker and they were expected to perform badly again but surprised everyone by going all the way to the Final. Mexico is a strong team and has some good players.

They are expected to qualify in this Group along with France. However, they will take on South Africa on the opening match and South Africa will want to start their campaign with a strong performance. If South Africa can beat mexico in the opening match, then I'm sure that they will go through as if France wins its 3 matches and South Africa can bring at least 1 point from its match with Uruguay, then it will finish runners up in the Group.

Countries Uruguay, England, France, Germany, Brazil and Italy are previous World Cup Winners as host, and in the 2000 Soccer World Cup host nations South Korea placed fourth and Japan made it through the second round. In basketball we call the crowd as the sixth man in football we may refer to the crowd as the 12th man since there are 11 soccer players on the field for each opposing team. The crowd, which provide the lift to their home team with their loud cheers.

They are also very capable of putting immense pressure to the opposing team. The only way to silence the crowd is to pull away from them quickly with big a huge lead as soon as possible. If the game is close expect the home team to get fiercer and stronger as the game progresses since the majority of the watching fans cheers will certainly give the morale booster for their heroes.

Although South Africa may find a tough time in cutting the might France down to size it is capable of pulling some surprise win over Mexico and/or Uruguay. http://www.flickr.com/photos/event_prop_hire/4456238735.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
