What are the political reasons why same-sex marriage should not be legalized?

Same sex marriage affects our tax codes, health care systems and social security system. Our tax codes based on Married filing two is the best tax break, and was based on heterosexual models of families having children that will pay future taxes, Social Security was based on the same model. If you allow same sex marriage you would have to change those models as Social Security is already going broke and could no longer support the additional increases.

There is none the government has no right to interfere in some ones sexual preference as long as it does not involve a minor. The government can not predict or decide who you fall in love with. To think that gay coupling will influence children's preference is ridiculous because if that were the case then how did two straight people create a gay child.

That logic doesn't work. You are what you are and the sooner the government butts out and concentrates on the state of the country instead of personal sexual preferences the better off we will be. By the way I am straight but I realized a long time ago it is not up to me to decide or to judge someone for whom they choose to be with male or female.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
