I was 18 when I first tried it. I loved it right away. It was mind-opening, relaxing and deeply spiritual.
However, it did eventually become a problem for me. I was smoking it more than I should have, starting getting very lazy and made a conscious decision to stop and actually start pursuing life's goals. Pot is a really tricky drug to talk about.
It won't destroy your life and health like heroin, meth or even alcohol may, but it very subtly kills your motivation to do things. You stop losing interest in your passions and hobbies if you smoke pot compulsively. Of course, this isn't everyone and most do it responsibly.
The lesson to take home is use but don't abuse.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
