What are the long term effects of smoking marijuana?

Generally, no. Not even comparable to tobacco. Being a long time, once in a while, responsible drug user who smokes cannabis infrequently but smokes cigarettes every day, I can tell you that throughout my drug-taking "career" I have had almost no long-term effects (though I don't recommend using drugs recreationally), but then again I use infrequently.

However, with cigarettes, I have permenantly bad lungs- I can barely run- whereas when I used to smoke marijuana every day (before I began consuming tobacco) I still had good lung capacity. All of that B.S. that the anti-drug campaigns (the ones founded by soccer moms and former drug addicts) tell you about long-term mental health problems is mostly untrue. The only people who will be changed long-term from using cannabis were those who already had a risk of mental problems (anxiety, etc.) Also the myth that cannabis destroys brain cells is untrue.

No medical tests have shown any proof that marijuana kills brain cells, and marijuana is not a neurotoxin, as some even legally prescribed drugs are. Actually, in some cases, it is a neuroprotectant.

No it wont. Although im going to be honest, it really can make you extemely forgetful. I've been smoking pot for about 5 months now, and I use it for anxiety and it helps that.

But dude, I seriously feel like I got legitimate short term memory loss sometimes haha. My mom will ask me to go to her room and get her something, and i'll instead walk into my room and stand there and be like, "wait why am I here" haha. But it could vary.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
