I am partial to Hank Aaron, Pete Rose, and Carl Ripken, in no particular order. Hank Aaron for his home run record. He topped the Babe, and it has stood for decades.
Pete Rose for his hitting streak. Despite the fact that he bet on baseball, this demonstration of consistency is outstanding. Carl Ripken's consecutive games played will never be matched. To remain injury free and play top level baseball added consistency to the game.

All time home runs, most consecutive games played and most wins by a pitcher I think that it is the all time home runs, most consecutive games played and most wins by a pitcher. Home Runs looks like it is about to be Barry Bonds. Who knows how many he will end up hitting.
I think A-Rod has a good chance of catching him one of these days though. Cal Ripkin's Most consecutive games played at 2,632. I think it will be sometime before anyone ever catches Cy Young with 511 wins!

I favor career records -- "body of work" -- over streak or one-year records, so I would say the following: career home runs, slugging, BA, and so on career ERA and innings pitched career innings played and at-bats There would be lots of arguments about whether these would need to be era-adjusted, park-adjusted, and so on .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
