Dada dad consists of Mike Gurley, Joie Calio, and Phil Leavitt. They are each extraordinary musicians and create melodies and harmonies that blow me away every time. Mike's got a cocktail jazz side project, Phil did a tour with the Blue Man Group (percussion).
Sometimes in shows they trade instruments and keep going. Mike has carpal tunnel syndrome, and he has to bathe his arms in ice after a night of playing guitar, but they keep doing it anyway. Every record they make is new and different, and they bring their skill and professionalism to the studio with every batch.
For my money, they're one of the best bands out there, and it's either a blessing or a curse that widespread mainstream success eluded them. I can't tell. Video Their perennial favorite "Moon" from their first album, "Puzzle".

Sonia Dada I've seen them in concert over 10 times and every time they have been amazing. While not a mainstream band, they mix pop, soul, rock, gospel, and more to make an awesome sound. I have a lot of favorites, but I have to say Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite Led Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I can remember. I want to say that I "discovered" them in the very early 70s and I was only 9 or 10 years old. Ever since then, I have been just thrilled with everything they have done.
I am drawn to Robert Plant's voice - I can't explain that any better. I hear him sing and it just does something to my heart/soul/something inside, anyway. Lol I think every one of them is a wonderful musician.
I think they have a sound all their own, but have done so much music in different styles. I love the blues and Led Zeppelin had obviously been influenced greatly by blues and other types of jazz as well. But they are rock and roll all the way and I find that the memories I associate with the music are mostly happy.(I didn't have the happiest childhood, so that is a wonderful thing) Having said that, I put Yes and Genesis right underneath Led Zep as favorites.
I love the progressive rock and the innovative music that both these bands have created. Thanks for asking this. I am anxious to see what others have said.

I'm going to get laughed at... ...but it's Erasure. I have every CD they've ever released and I can listen to any of their CDs whenever I'm feeling low or feeling totally happy. My all-time favorite song is, "Drama."
They're my favorite because I was introduced to this kind of music in my senior year of high school and listened to Erasure all during college, so there are a lot of really good memories associated with their music. The guy I had a crush on liked Erasure, too, so that helped. 8) What's really interesting is that it was my mom who introduced me to their music.
She heard one of their songs on the radio and went out and bought the single that afternoon. When she got home from work, she made me listen to it, and we went to the record store that weekend and got their new cassette (that's all they had in them thar' days. T'wern't no CDs or nothin').
So, listening to Erasure reminds me of my mom and all the fun we had when I was growing up. Yep...lots of good memories. 8) .
Okay...I'm quirky ...but I'm absolutely in love with Linkin Park but... I also really like Billy Joel and Casting Crowns. So I'm diverse (and strange) I finally started to listen to something other than Linkin Park after much complaining from my husband and downright begging from my Mom. Casting Crowns in concert (although every once in a while there are some theological issues with their lyrics, I would definitely say that it isn't a deal breaker) was a wonderful spiritual experience and was more like a fantastic prayer service/concert than just a concert.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
