What can you do to help a stray cat that looks under weight and is caring for kittens that are only a week old?

The best thing you can do for it is to take it in. Keep it in a room separate from the rest of the house, and give it a box or the like that it can sleep in. Feed it both canned and dry food, preferably the kind that is meant for kittens However, if you cannot keep it in your house for any length of time, then I would suggest putting out a structure it can sleep in and setting out food and water.

That is all you can do for it with out providing shelter But above all, be sure not to take it to a shelter that euthanizes. Its kittens will be put down immediately and chances are the mother will be, too. There are no such things as "low-kill" shelters, despite what they may say.

I would highly recommend bringing the cat to a rescue (also called a no-kill shelter) and turning it in. They can be trusted.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
