There are no requirements of specific high school courses you need to take. You just need the grades, etc. To get into a good college. The college courses you take will be more geared towards being a teacher.
I would say the number one high school course that would benefit someone looking into becoming a teacher would be psychology.
Your high school curriculum should be focused on college preparation if you want to become a teacher. Therefore, the courses you take in high school should match the requirements from whichever college you plan to attend. It may be helpful, if offered at your high school, to take any early childcare course to make sure that is the career path you really wish to follow.
Because kindergarten is considered elementary education (as opposed to early childhood education), you will need to get a Bachelor's degree in elementary education to become a kindergarten teacher. If you would rather work in a daycare, an Associate's in early childhood education in sufficient, but I'm sure it may depend on the state you plan to teach in.
