What do I do about this vicious dog?

I get so annoyed reading stuff like this. Why don't people keep their dogs contained? Especially this type of dog!

I would call animal control and report it. Don't take the softly softly approach and just hope it was a one off. Yeah, nothing major happened this time.

But who knows what the dog might of done if it had reached him before he got over the fence? Most of the people who own these dogs seem to have no idea what they have, and how to look after it properly. They should never be left to run around the neighbour hood on their own.

And I bet the owner is one of those people that's constantly banging on about how great they are and that they wouldn't hurt a fly. Then they let their dog go and terrorise people, then wonder why a large chunk of the population think they should all be killed off EDIT- If the dog was actually going after you like that, i'm not sure why the hell someone else hasn't already shot it! Call the police and get it put down.

There's no place for dogs like that anywhere.

Wow, no dogs should be running loose around, their owners if they have owners are incredibily irresponsible not only for the dog cause a dog running loose could easily get run over or something but also could harm people. I'm not sure who you call but maybe something like the RSPCA? The dog may not even have an owner and if they do the owners shouldn't be owning any kind of dog!

Call you local Animal Warden and Police and make a report concerning a vicious dog running loose. If you know the name and address of the dogs owner that will be so much better.

Obviously call your local authorities, dog catcher, whoever. This dog should not be running the neighbourhood like this - goes without saying! Try to find out exactly where the dog belongs so you can tell the authorities!

You cannot sue for jumping a fence because you BELIEVE a dog is attacking you. Did it occur to you the dog was running after him because that is what dogs do and it had no desire to hurt him. Call animal control.

The dog is at large. Period. (Where exactly did ``Vicious`` get inserted in this little drama).

Actually, its people like you that push insurance rates sky high for the rest of us, every time life throws you a curve ball, you want someone else to pay for it. Your attitude disgusts me. You are obviously looking for money.

And while I`m a a fan of pit bull`s - making spurious claims about a dog that did nothing just creates more unnecessary fear. Yes, the dog should not be loose. Beyond that, at this stage, there is no crime.

I also believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. As another has stated, if the dog was literally trying to kill you, why are you wasting time here on YA asking people what to do about a stupid scratch, the cousin would immediately call the police, report it and have the dog caught and or shot. If your cousin did not report it, why.Is he hiding from the law too.

A dog with a so called history implies you have a history. Why are you here whining. Are you that daft.

Are you telling me you routinely are chased by killer dogs and have NO IDEA that you can report it to the police or animal control. What a load of crap.(Maybe the cousin was running from something other than a dog). Nice picture BTW.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
