You weren't fired. It still counts as quieting. This is a very common business practice.
They teach it in business class. An unhappy employee can do a lot of damage. Both intentional damage and unintentional damage.
Bad relationship with customer, increased chance of theft, poor work attitude. So many businesses just let you go without the notice. The practice is mostly used in high turn over jobs.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
