I like what I just read. First of all, I'm glad that askville is addressing issues. I'm impressed that they are listening.

On Mturk... I am on askville for the fun of it. I enjoy asking and answering questions. It took me weeks before I stumbled onto the whole idea of Mturk, and it really made me think.

I looked into the Mturk site, and realized it's limitations and decided I didn't need to participate that way. Once I realized there was a financial incentive for some to write so many answers, it made sense to me why some members always seemed to be on the site. Once I realized that the "best answer" often goes to the first or second to answer for a while, I only answered questions that I found that I would be one of the first to answer.

I was a little down on the site for a week, and began to wonder if it was really fun. So therefore, I applaud the decision to place a time gap into the system for questions to be passed onto Mturk. I really think this will give askvillers an opportunity to answer questions and earn the "best answer" bonus.

On the Voting System... It is encouraging to hear they are considering making a better system. I would like to see an easy way to add a post a comment on the discussion board (similar to the superpower voting) that would give you a way to make your vote public (optional of course). So as long as they are listening... How about a spell-checker?

Sounds good to me I know that there have been concerns among some that MTurk users were trying to answer every question, taking all the answer slots and preventing Askville users from responding. So giving Askvillers "first crack" at answering questions seems to be a benefit to our community, while still giving MTurkers a chance if nobody here has an immediate answer. As for voting, I think there's always room for improvement, and I am hopeful that these changes will be for the better..

I'm conflicted I was made awae of this by an MTurker already. I can see how Askville would like to corral the Askvillers into their own community. That's not ruling out the possibility that MTurkers will answer these questions, but they have a huge incentive to answer hundreds of questions, money.

This will surely free up some of the levelling up opportunities for Askvillers, but I'm afraid that MTurkers are not happy. They will still have an opportunity to answer many, many questions. That's a good thing, because many of these people, whom I've developed a relationship with, are an asset to this site.As the blog says, they helped us to get off the ground here.

MTurkers already had so much experience with these onlinw=e Q&A sites,so they helped the newbies find their way. So it's good for Askvillers, might be good for Askville and the MTurk community seems to be a bit up in arms about it. I think that,in the end,it will turn out to be a good decision for the community.

Askvillers can move up,MTurkers can still answer hundreds of questions(this www. Thing makes that time limit moot for some MTurkers, the questions filter in day and night). I'm sure that the Askville Team has given this plenty of thought and they're watching for the benefits/reaction.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
