I understand the concept this person is trying to convey. It is wrong to exclude anyone from voting because of their skin color, sex, or any other random criteria. But it is just as wrong to let everyone vote merely because they exist (or have at some time in the past).
If you just let everyone vote, you ensure an average country with average results and average people making decisions. Letting everybody vote is what brings us to the mess we find this country in today. It is not mean, racists, or eliteist, it is simply mathematical- the normal curve.
I don't know what the answer is. Maybe a test. Or only those that pay taxes should vote.
Is it too much to ask to require proof that the voter is not completely incompetent human debris? It would help if the people that voted have a vested interest in the outcome. Many that vote today don't like this country or just want the government to take something from someone else to give to them.
The majority of the populace is dumb, weak, cowardly, lazy, and possess any number of ignoble traits. That is not really the personality of a nation we want to encourage. @Lono 57 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
