What do you think should happen to the businesses that charged $5-10 for a loaf of bread during?

These businesses can be dealt with very easily.......when the crisis passes all the people have to do is remember who helped and who took advantage. Praise those who offered a helping hand and punish those who offered greed and larceny by finding somewhere else to do business.

Scalping them would do. Or impale them and leave them as an example to show others the importance of compassion. That might work in a strange way.

When all is back to normal, these greedy people should be shunned by all. Seems that during the crisis they cared only for themselves, shun them and run them out of business, shop at the bakery that gave bread away. One good turn deserves another?

They should face the same charges as looters. My grandfather was in the 1913 flood of the Ohio valley. He told similar stories of greed but he also told stories of courage and compassion.

The people who bought bread from them will remember. Every time the store owners see one of those customers....they will be reminded of their shameful greed.

They should be either shut down or boycotted. I think that any business that does things like this proves that they are only there for the money and they don't care about the consumer.

It shows us that we are far away from the race that we wish to be,,,far far away, we are but babies on the real scheme of things, I beleive it all goes around, sometimes we have to spend to gain even more, its quite amazing that some of the people that have lost everything and this was probly not the first time,,,just say "Oh we are ok, its just another day, and we'll get through it, (with a grin) helps us to really see the big picture. That we are all struggling on all levels all at the same time. Awful tragedy, and it's everywhere, global.

It's easy to blame the people selling the bread ,what about the people who are supposed to be more responsable like the government! An ounce of preperation is worth a pound of aggravation.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
