What does it mean to speak in tongues?

Maybe it means speaking in other ancient languages.

It usually refers to different dialects or versions of the said language.

It means the "speaker" is both wacko and very susceptible to mob psychology.

To "Speak in Tongues" is found in the Bible and was a sign that someone was filled with the Holy Spirit. Read Acts 1 and you will see that on the Day of Pentacost the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and they all spoken in different tongues that were only recognized by people who spoke one of these foreign languages. Like anything to do with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Speaking in Tongues has been abused down through the centuries and today is not really recognized by mainstreat churches.

Your apostolic, charismatic and pentacostal church still practice it and some "cults" practice it but Speaking in Tongues is not found in the main stream churches of today.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
