What does the Bible say about putting children first before your spouse?

Please read this...maybe it will help you. For anyone with children...please read this.

I'm not sure if it says so in the Bible. However, Christian counselors always say that you should put God first, then your spouse, then your children. I'm not sure if they have any Biblical reference for this.

Scripture does not say parents should put their children first , to the contrary, scripture is clear that children are to honor their parents so that "their days (the parents) may be long on the earth". With that said, scripture also declares that a man who does not take care of his own is worse than an unbeliever. Further more, it declares that anyone who harms a child would be better off to have a millstone tied around your neck and be cast into the deepest sea.

God doesn't take kindly to it!

In Ephesians 5:22-31 without quoting the entire passage, the Bible tells us that the man is the head of the woman, finishing up in verse 31 with "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. " If the husband and wife are one, that puts the children under them. And Ephesians 6:1 says "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."

Therefore, the order of the family unit is husband, wife, children.

The Bible, and common decency, say for us to take very good care of our families. Children should honor their parents. Husbands and wives must love one another.

That way we have some love left over for the kids. The more love you put in, the more love comes out. God is all about love!

If there is anything wrong with that, I'd like to know what it is.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
