Daredevil without a doubt (The 2nd D isn't capitalized.) I watch The Walking Dead, and think it's a decent show, but it is extremely overrated in my opinion. People always claim it's the greatest show ever, when that is so far from the truth. It relies too much on action and gore to keep people interested, instead of focusing on plot and the characters.
Sure, some episodes focus on a character's backstory or just something personal they're dealing with. But overall, I feel like it's just action scene after action scene, with no reason other than to have another action scene. Daredevil, while it also has a good deal of action, and can get very brutal, still focuses a lot on the plot and the personal journeys each character takes.
Such at Matt Murdock's inner struggle. How he wants to remain true to his beliefs, knowing that killing could turn him into what he hates. But also knowing that killing would save a lot of innocent lives.
Or with Fisk, his inner struggle about not wanting to become like his father. He doesn't want to be a monster, but throughout Season 1, he does so much that he is wondering whether he is still the good guy or if he has already become a monster. (And at the end he finally accepts that he is indeed now the monster he feared he would become).
Like I said, TWD is decent, but it just doesn't have the depth that Daredevil has, at least not in my opinion. I see it as being a "surface enjoyment show." Where people tend to enjoy it just because of the obvious things they see on screen, not the deeper, more complex stuff.
I actually think Fear the Walking Dead is superior to The Walking Dead, as it focused a lot more on the characters and showed how they are changing day to day as they learn to live with the new world. People complain that there wasn't much action, but I loved that. When there was action, it felt like it truly affected the characters and you could see the change it caused in the way they think.
It wasn't just "Oh it's been 10 minutes. Let's have a random fight.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
