You are absolutely right. I am a liberal, proud of it, but Ron Paul is more in line with liberals on these particular two points than Obama is. But Paul didn't want any bailouts at all.
He wanted all those banks and brokerage houses and corporations to fail. Most sane economists seem to agree this would have been a huge disaster. It is the economic equivalent of destroying the world so God can create a new one eventually.
I appreciate Ron Paul's integrity, his sticking by his principles. Hardly any other politicians do that, and they are all marginal. Paul has a cadre of idealistic followers, of various ages, which I admire.
But the last two presidential candidates who got nominated this way were Barry Goldwater and George McGovern. And some of Paul's ideas, I'm sorry, but I find them just kooky.
Rand Paul (the son) is the Senator who spoke out against the Patriot Act several days ago but both father and son are against it. Obama has corporate puppet masters as do 90-95% of your mainline Dems and Repubs. America is being destroyed by design by these Globalists and the Pauls' are two of the few folks in Washington who are statesmanlike in their conduct and attitude toward their constituents.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
