External drive or DVD/CD drive Recently I purchased a 1 Terabyte external USB hard drive for $100 that included a backup program. It will allow backup to the external drive or to a CD or DVD drive. Another thought is that Windows XP allows you to copy files to a DVD burner until you've filled up the disc, then it will burn the files for you..
Pop the HD out of the old machine, put it into the new one. Should take less than 15 minutes, and is risk free. If you can't do it yourself, I'm sure that you know a tech boffin or two that could..
That is your first question to consider. From xp to Windows 7 all have a TRANSFER WIZARD built in under System Tools. Or you can simply burd cds or DVDs and transfer that way....Many options!
You can even upload to say SKYDRIVE for Free at MSN and then download to new system.Blessings.......Annlee .

3 I highly suggest you back up your files.. One option is doing it online through a hosting service.. you can quickly FTP all your files from one computer to the host and then to the other.. the quickness would depend on your internet connection, but it is super quick. (Another benefit.. you can access those files anywhere in the world.. set up a password protected folder and all your stuff is safe from unwanted eyes. ) If backing up online is not the thing for you.. then consider an external hard drive and network both computers to it.
Then you can save all your files to the hard drive and look at it from either computer. This will also save your memory space for other things. You can get external hard drives at any electronics store and they have some pretty good deals.. 1 TB of storage for $80-100.. not too shabby.
You can also do what AnnLee suggested and burn them to CDs or DVDs.. just make sure you label them so you know what is on where. Good luck! .

4 If you want to transfer the data files, then you'll need to take a backup using an external hard drive or a CD / DVD. If you are looking for smart software to do that for you, take a look at Acronis.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
