In the 2005 UEFA Champions league Final the way Liverpool returned, after being 0-3 down, against AC-Milan has to go down as one of the Best Sports Comebacks. In another option , I would also like to add India's comeback against Australia in 2001 Test Series (Cricket) in India. The way VVS Laxman, Bhajji and Rahul Dravid played still brings a smile to my face.

Everyone is going to be biased with this question. Hopefully you take into account what was on the line for the game. The Sox/Yankees Championship Series was a great comeback but the stakes were only for the ALCS...had it been for the World Series that would be another thing.

Honestly, I would have to go with last year's Superbowl, with the Giants coming back to beat the Patriots. It had me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't believe that catch actually...got caught! Eli Manning proved a lot that day, that's for sure.

I happen to be partial to my Chargers coming back on the Chiefs this last week from a deficit of 10-21 in the last 2 minutes. They scored a touchdown, went for a 2 point conversion and missed. They kicked an onside kick and recovered, and then scored again and missed the 2 pointer leaving the final score at 22-21, and all in less than 2 minutes.

Granted, they had 3 timeouts, but they only used 1, I think. Sure, it was pretty recent, and maybe won't even matter if the Broncos win this week, but it was very impressive for a team that has blown it all year and lost 8 games already.

That is, until Frank Reich began a flurry of amazing plays and running the K-gun offense like a well-oiled machine.

Greg lemond - 1989 tour de france - the last day of the tour is usually a formality and a celebration of the past month of the world's most difficult sporting event. In 1989 the tour organizers decided to have a time trial on the final day into paris. Lemond down by 50 seconds going into this final stage gained nearly a minute to finish in first place by a mere 8 seconds (smallest margin of victory in tour history).

It doesn't sound like much but gaining 58 seconds over a such a short distance (15.5 miles) is nearly impossible and it was thought lemond had no chance. Lemond's time trial was the fastest even ridden in the tour until 2005 and was the fastest individual time trial over 10km up to that point. Now some people may poo-poo cycling but there are a number of historical points that made this even more special.

Lemond rode the race with 27 shotgun pellets still in his body (2 in the lining of his heart) after an off-season hunting accident. Laurent fignon was lemond's main french rival and a huge race favorite. Pedro delgado and miguel indurain were also in the race (delgado won the previous year and was considered one of the top favorites and indurain would go on to win the tour 5 straight times from 91-95).

The race could be considered one of the last 'old style' tours where riders made individual decisions on the fly and rode crazy hard. Lemond also rode with areo bars which at the time were considered a novelty in the pro tours but are now commonplace. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
