What is the difference between Theology and Religion?

Theology is the study of god, whereas a religion is a set of practices or cultural traditions within a theological philosophy that give meaning to the practicioner's experience of life. A group of religious sects may share a similar theological background, such as the Protestants, but they vary in the interpretations.
